Letter From the President

Dear Partner,

I do not know any better time for Christians to practically emulate Christ's life style of love and care than right now. As Christ suffered in our place by taking our sins and pain to the Cross, we are called to do the same for our brothers and sisters – our neighbors, especially in the so-called developing world.

Do you know that several thousands of people will die of hunger today in our world! It is not because there is not enough food to go around, but because there is a lack of love and a lack of desire to end poverty on the hearts of leaders around the world.

Life Builders is committed to sharing the good news not only with our lips but also through practical good works that make Christ's presence in our world real to the most vulnerable. Many who have heard the Gospel preached have never seen it lived out and do not see the connection between the gospel of redemption and their own daily needs. We believe that a cup of water and a plate of food can open the heart of a poverty-stricken child or mother to God's word of life and hope.

Here is an opportunity for you to share in the struggles of the orphans, homeless children and widows in Nigeria who are in pain of hunger and disease. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

You can provide a small loan for a widow or sponsor an orphan or homeless child. You can donate to the clinic building project or to staff support. You are also welcome to visit us any time in Lagos, Nigeria.

Please prayerfully consider what God may lead you to do for one of the "least of these" (Matthew 25:40).

Thank you for your partnership in building lives for the glory of God. May you be filled with His peace and healing!

Yours for the Widows, Orphans and homeless children in Africa,

Rev. Emmanuel Ogunyemi, Ph.D.

President
